From enterprise delivery to applied AI
Alexandru Dan has spent more than fifteen years turning ambitious software into systems people actually rely on. He coordinated 120 developers at eMAG and led product and delivery through a growth run from single-digit millions to a billion, then carried that discipline into artificial intelligence.
He has built and led over forty technical teams across Europe, delivering for organisations including eMAG, the European Commission and Infor. In 2019 he founded TVL Tech, the team behind Harold, to build production AI, blockchain infrastructure and custom software from Luxembourg, Romania and the United States.
His focus now is the unglamorous part of AI that decides whether it works: evaluation, regression discipline, governance and cost. It is the same instinct that shapes Harold, where the language model is treated as the most expensive instrument and reached for last.
